      Dealer Notes

The 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road is a rugged and capable midsize pickup truck that's designed to take on any challenge you can throw at it. With its powerful V6 engine, advanced suspension system, and off-road-focused features, this truck is built to handle even the toughest terrain with ease.

Under the hood, you'll find a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which delivers smooth and precise shifting both on and off the road.

But what really sets the Tacoma TRD Off-Road apart is its advanced off-road capabilities. This truck features a specially-tuned suspension system with Bilstein shocks, which provides excellent damping on rough terrain. It also comes with a locking rear differential, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select, which allows you to choose the best mode for your current driving conditions.

On the exterior, the Tacoma TRD Off-Road boasts a rugged and aggressive look, with bold lines and an intimidating front grille. It also features skid plates, a hood scoop, and a TRD Pro cat-back exhaust system, which adds both style and performance to this already-impressive truck.

Inside, the Tacoma TRD Off-Road is just as impressive. It comes with a variety of advanced features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a premium JBL sound system, and a suite of advanced safety features such as automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning.

Overall, the 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road is an exciting and capable pickup truck that's perfect for anyone who wants a vehicle that can handle both the daily commute and the toughest off-road challenges.

      • It was a great truck..... Wasn't in love though

My Fully Loaded Black Tacoma TRD Off Road Double Cab was a great, dependable truck. I have zero complaints on the look, the handling in the snow, the JBL sound system was awesome, it was comfortable in the front, but a little tight in the back. My biggest complaint about it over all is the V6 is very very underwhelming. The lack of power really kept me from keeping it because I loved the way it looked. It was the first year of the new design and I bought it brand new off the show room floor with all the bells and whistles. Tacoma's especially in CO, sell for a premium. I lost $8k in 4 years buying it brand new. I can't ask for anything else out of any vehicle when it comes to resale value and will continue to buy Toyota's for this very reason moving forward. I just couldn't stand how sluggish it was on the highway trying to get up to speed and forget about passing anybody without taxing the RPM's. It's a truck, I completely understand this but I may as well of been driving a 4 cylinder compact in comparison. Towing wasn't a problem, no real difference in performance, but I also never tried to tow a real heavy load with it. You buy this truck to Off-Road in the hills and to be honest, I was afraid too. I couldn't stand the thought of potentially damaging anything on the rocks in the Mountains so, I never really pushed its limits in that regard. What I did do, it handled with ease. Not sure I would buy another one, I think I would probably do a V8 Tundra next time.

I needed something for the winter as I drive a Ford Mustang . I found out that the Tacoma’s have such high resale value that a lease would be beneficial to me . SR access cab in white with the SX package for under 200 a month with 4k down. Overall I am enjoying the truck . No powe seat in this model but their is a mod to fix the seat slope & height. The engine and transmission pairing is a bit underwhelming . Overall I find the interior refined and ergonomically correct. The new infotainment system is well-placed and easy to use . There are many fun mods to class up the interior and exterior . I like the 6 foot bed with the access cab . Overall I am pleased. It’s a fun truck to drive.
